Start your trek through a drive of 6 to 7 hours in a lush landscape between Kathmandu and Pokhara. This is a journey that takes you through hills, rivers, and small towns so you can get a taste of Nepal through its natural beauty and culture. Or take a short 25-minute flight to save time. Upon arrival in Pokhara, get to your hotel in the Phewa Lake area. Walk the lakeside in the afternoon. Go to a local cafe or shop and look around at trekking equipment. Have a free dinner and get ready to take on the trekking days ahead.

Time: 6–7 hours by road | Flight: 25-minute | Overnight: Hotel in Pokhara (820 m)

You get a very early breakfast, and then you will drive to Kande, about 1.5 hours out of Pokhara, where you will start your trek. This trail begins with an easy uphill trek following terraced fields and tiny villages. In a short time, you come into rhododendron and oak woods. The fresh mountain air and the sound of birdsong surround you. After a few hours (2), you come to Australian Camp, a regular stopover which has great views of the majestic Himalaya. Trail another 3-4 hours, more or less uphill all the way, through mixed forest to Forest Camp. It is a peaceful mountain view lodge hidden in the forest of trees. Nicely, here you will get a hot dinner and sleep comfortably before the next day.

Nowadays, you do a 4 to 5 hour hike through dense forest and open grassy meadows with wild flowering bushes. The route is not steep. During the trip, you will come across the dramatic rises of the Annapurna South and the Machapuchhre in the distance. During spring, the rhododendron, which is colorful, is usually found bordering the trail. You reach Low Camp, a secluded mountain lodge with comfortable rooms. The scenery around here is panoramic, and this makes the place an ideal place to stop and take pictures. Relax outdoors in the fresh mountain air and eat a wholesome supper. Walking Distance: ~7 km (4–5 hours) Overnight: Tea-house at Low Camp (2,900 m)

The hike will start today in alpine meadows with wild flowers and tall grasses. The terrain becomes more open, and the forest starts to clear to provide a better view of the grand south face of Machapuchhre. It takes 3-4 hours to reach High Camp. Upon arrival, you can rest and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Annapurna range. In case you feel energetic, continue to trek another 1.5 hours to Mardi Himal Base Camp. Base Camp is located at 4,500 meters, where snow-capped mountains, glaciers, and rough landscape can be viewed up close. Once immersed in the views, ride down to High Camp to rest overnight.

Today, you start descending through mixed forests and terraced farmland. The trail is easier and goes gently downhill. On the way there, you will be able to pass through some of the traditional Gurung villages and meet welcoming locals. Approximately 5 hours later, after trekking, you come to Sidhing village. At this point, a car will be waiting to take you back to Pokhara. The journey lasts about 1.5 hours. Spend your evening in Pokhara by the peaceful Phewa Lake or roaming through the busy lakeside market.

Spend the day resting in Pokhara, visit places of interest such as Devi Falls or the International Mountain Museum, or engage in shopping for souvenirs. Or you can travel back to Kathmandu by bus or a short domestic flight on your schedule. This is a flexible day to end your trek at your own pace.
